     Course Offered

P.G. Level : The course in M.Sc. level has been designed in accordance with the recent guidelines from U.G.C. and contains advanced topics like Group Theory, Quantum mechanics, spectroscopy, Bio-inorganic Chemistry, Organmetallics, structure and reactivity,Pericyclic reactions, Photochemistry, Radiation Chemistry, Statistical and Non-equilibrium thermodynamics etc. The choice of elective papers as Analytical Chemistry and Material Science is in tune with industrial requirements and the syllabi have been designed to train the students for the job market.

M.Phil. Level : The course is designed to train the students for higher studies and research in the branches of organic, inorganic and physical chemistry.

Academic Dimension

    The Faculty have been honoured with several awards and visited several countries like U.S.A., U.K., Japan and Chekoslovakia. As regards students’ activities, seminar is held regularly on a weekly basis and active participation is binding for each student. Visiting professors from neighbouring universities are occassionally invited for better interaction and greater benefit to the students.
