The Post- Graduate curricula have recently undergone major orientation congruent with the development and trends in the subject to help the students to seek a career in different thrust areas of the subject like Advanced Plant Physiology & Biotechnology, Environmental Biology, Microbiology and Microbial Biotechnology, etc.

The department also offers M. Phil course suitably designed to equip the students with both theoretical and practical knowledge.

The area of Research leading to M. Phil., Ph.D./ D. Sc. are like Stress Physiology, Molecular Biology and Genomics, Environmental Toxicology and Ecology, Algology and Seaweed Cultivation, Floristics and Ethnobotany, Mushroom Technology, etc.

Master Degree (M.Sc.)

About Course Programme

The Post-Graduate (M.Sc.) curricula in Botany is of two-years duration with total of 1500 marks. The system of examinations is of semester pattern.
